Itinerary: Sofia ► Plovdiv ► Kazanlyk ► Veliko Tyrnovo ► Sofia
Meeting on the airport by representative of the agency. Transfer to the hotel and check – in. We’ll have breakfast/lunch according to the time of your arrival. Following the meal we’ll proceed with tour of the city during which we’ll visit Sofia’s main landmarks including the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Presidential Office Building, Parliament Square, the Ivan Vazov National Theater and a lot more. We’ll end the day with diner and overnight in the hotel.
Breakfast in the hotel and departure from Sofia to Plovdiv. On our way we’ll visit of course one of the most remarkable landmarks in Bulgaria – Rilla Monastery. It is the largest and most beautiful monastery in Bulgaria and rightfully one of nine sites in Bulgaria under UNESCO’s protection. We are sure you we’ll be fascinated by its architecture and history. After our visit in this secrete place we’ll continue to Plovdiv. Plovdiv is famous for its ancient roman remains and several monuments from this period. Some of the most important and interesting sights in the city are the Roman Theater, the Roman Stadium and the Aqueduct. We’ll end the day with diner and night in Plovdiv.
Breakfast in the hotel and departure from Plovdiv to Kazanlak. On our way we’ll visit Bachkovo Monastery which is the second-largest one in the country. It is renowned for its collection of old icons, coins and metal plates. We’ll also visit The Thracian tombs of Kazanlak which were discovered in 1944 and rebuilt 30 years later. Other points of interest in and around Kazanlak include the Museum of Roses that depicts the history of rose oil production in Bulgaria and the Ethnographic Complex of Kulata. We’ll end today’s adventure with diner and night in Kazanlak.
Breakfast in the hotel and departure from Kazanlak to Veliko Tarnovo. On our way we’ll visit Etara – an open-air museum of arts and crafts. This is a unique place which you’ll definitely like and enjoy. This is one of a kind place where you can feel the spirit and the traditions of the bulgarian people. Finally we’ll enjoy a guided tour during your overnight stay in the medieval town of Veliko Tarnovo. We’ll visit Tsarevets which is the symbol of the Second Bulgarian Empire. Tsarevets was also home of several Bulgarian Emperors and included in the past palaces, marketplace and patriarchal cathedral. We’ll end the day with night in Veliko Tarnovo.
Breakfast in the hotel and departure from Veliko Tarnovo to Sofia. In this day we’ll visit Arbanassi which is only 10 km from Veliko Tarnovo and later after that we’ll visit the Transfiguration Monastery. The Holy Nativity Church with over 3,500 images from the New Testament is very popular. Later in the day we’ll return to Sofia where we’ll have diner and night.
Breakfast in the hotel and free time till departure. Transfer to the airport.
