The old city is situated on three hills, Tsarevets, Trapezitsa and Sveta Gora raising amidst the meanders of the Yantra river. Tsarevets housed the palaces of the Bulgarian Emperors and the Patriarchate. Trapezitsa was known for its many churches and as the main residence of the nobility. In the Middle Ages Veliko Tarnovo was among the main European centres of culture. Veliko Tarnovo is famous as the historical capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire, attracting many tourists with its unique architecture. But this is not the whole story, you’ll know a lot more interesting and curious facts after our tour and you’ll definitely want to visit the city again. Everyone is captured by the beauty and the spirit in this city. After the city tour we’ll have diner and night in the hotel.

We’ll see St. Sophia church dating back to 5th-6th century of our era, the largest cathedral Alexander Nevski and a lot more so you can feel the atmosphere of the city, which history dates more than 5000 years ago.
